MANCHESTER CITY ARE BEATABLE AFTERALL AND 3 OTHER THINGS

Yesterday night at Celtic Park in Scotland, Manchester City for the first time this season were tested and put on the back foot for large swathes of the match. Brendan Rodgers did his homework very well and his charges ran their legs out for the whole 90 minutes making it  difficult for Guardiola’s men to impose themselves on the match like they are very much used to. The midfield were pressed constantly and were barely given breathing space except at few times, Sergio Aguero was quiet
almost throughout the game save for some key passes he made. The defense and the goal keeper where put under constant pressure by Scott Sinclair and the prodigious Mousa Dembele. It was an end to end affair all through and City had to settle for a draw after they had come from behind thrice.

For the first time this season,i got to see that Manchester City are not invisible after all. They are very much beatable. They have fantastic players, but they do not have enough world class material to conquer the big guns. They are not so strong in set pieces and when pressed appropriately, life becomes difficult for them.
In all truth,it would be premature to weigh the shoulders down of this team with the responsibility of winning a double or a treble because they are a growing team that is becoming better with each passing match and they would do well to sign more experienced world class players in subsequent seasons.
THE HARD NUT TO CRACK
Atletico Madrid emerged winners against Bayern Munich in a keenly contest affair that had emotions flying around like paper planes in a noisy classroom of pupils.Atletico Madrid who saw less of the ball like you would expect had more clear cut chances and hit the wood work twice with Antoinne Griezmann missing a penalty. These are early days, but Bayern Munich would do well to buckle up because the teams this season are not playing.
STRENGTH IN DEPTH PAYS OFF
In a match poised for a draw in Germany,in a match where the MSN was without their main protagonist and the other two were without their scoring boots on,Arda turan came off the bench to equalize for the Blaugrana while domineering center back Gerard Pique sealed the three points with a goal of his own.The best descision Luis Enrique made for this team this season, investing in depth and getting backup for the big players, came to the fore yesterday. And to think that some people actually undermine his input into this team.

THE THEO IS BACK
Arsenal undoubtedly dominated FCBasel and created numerous chances but could only put in two thanks to the recent resurgence of English attacker,Theo Walcott.Where Alexis was indescive and profligate,Theo Walcott oozed confidence and was spot on.His brace keeps them within touching distance of Paris Saint Germain at the top of the log.Arsenal is winning and they are doing it playing fantastic football.Kudos Wenger.
