SEASON 16/17 Episode 5 and Six things i saw

50 SHADES OF CITY
One thing is for sure this season for the citizens, Guardiola is here to dominate, break hearts and do same in swashbuckling fashion.8 games on the trot and they are getting better with each passing minute. Only God knows when teams would be able to get a hang on how to handle this emerging ruthless juggernaut. They ran riot against Bournemouth with 4 goals albeit  with Guardiola praising their football as the best he has played against yet in England(Way to throw shades at Jose Mourinho*insert smile*)
My eyes are on this Guardiola team by the way, very interesting case study they are.

LEICESTER CITY ARE A BIG TEAM NOW
After their heroics in the premier league last season, they lost one of their best player to Chelsea but somehow kept most of their best players out of the reach of prowling teams with cash power.
With more football to play this season, Ranieri did well to acquire more players(7 to be specific). They obviously now have the  team depth that hopefully would help them last this season with countless matches to play. They scored 3 goals and their score sheet did not have the usual suspects as Algerian striker,Islam Slimani scored a brace on his premier league debut  and this is good stuff for the Premier League Champions.

NO RONALDO NO PROBLEM
Real Madrid defeated EspanyoI with Ronaldo and Gareth Bale not on the team sheet. Truthfully, I must give a ‘big ups’ to Zenedine Zidane  for trying to create a system that can function without their star player(s) which I think is good and it is very necessary considering the fact that their rivals have invested in depth and the (un)fortunate reality that they have to wait till 2018 before they can new  sign players.

WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS
The thing about football is that when things are falling apart, they fall apart. That is the current situation with the Manchester United squad who appear disjointed, clueless and confused. With three  consecutive losses in their bag this early into the season, there is cause to look inward for Mourinho and his troops. That being said,Mounrinho has to do his homework and eventually find his best eleven and know the formation that would bring the best out of the potent ammunition that he definitely possesses. Their best days are ahead.

TITLE CHALLENGERS YEAH?
Arsenal put four past Hull City and the win afforded Wenger to display his team’s attacking prowess ,team depth and winning mentality. I hope they put in the work and are more consistent this season.

ALBERT ‘ENRIQUE’ EINSTEIN
If Luis Enrique was not into football, he would have excelled marvelously well as a scientist or an inventor because his knack to experiment and try new things is very impressive. Barcelona made light work of Leganes and MSN were their usual selves but the star of the show was Luis Enrique who rotated the squad and even experimented with a three man backline. I am loving this team and this unpredictability would come in handy for Barcelona when it matters the most.
